Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
HandyComfy (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a mobile application that helps users connect to ComfyUI and LLM servers, manage workflows, generate media, and organize outputs.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the HandyComfy app may access, how it is used, and how users can manage their information.
1. Summary
HandyComfy is designed to work primarily with user-provided local or third-party servers.
In general:
– we do not require users to create an account to use the app
– we do not operate a central user-content cloud for normal app usage
– prompts, workflow settings, chat history, and media library metadata are stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to send content to a server they configure
– if the user connects HandyComfy to a local ComfyUI server or an external LLM provider, data may be transmitted to that server in order to fulfill the user’s request
– the app displays advertising through Google AdMob
2. Information We Access or Store
Depending on how the app is used, HandyComfy may access or store the following information on the device:
2.1 Prompts, Chat History, and Workflow Settings
The app stores locally on the device:
– prompts entered by the user
– workflow selections and workflow input settings
– utility settings
– LLM prompt presets
– chat and conversation history
– gallery metadata related to generated outputs
This information is used to provide core app functionality such as restoring conversations, reusing workflows, and showing previous outputs.
2.2 Images and Media Selected by the User
If the user chooses reference images or other supported media from the device:
– the app may access selected files from the device’s photo library or file storage
– selected media may be copied into app storage for workflow execution, chat attachment handling, or gallery management
– generated outputs may also be saved locally on the device
HandyComfy only accesses media that the user explicitly selects or saves through app features.
2.3 Generated Outputs
Generated images, videos, previews, and related metadata may be stored locally on the device in order to:
– display results in chat
– display items in the gallery
– support comparison, upscale, edit, or utility flows
– preserve workflow results between app launches
2.4 Local Server Connection Information
If the user configures a ComfyUI or LLM server, the app may store locally:
– server names
– server addresses or URLs
– selected models
– provider type
– connection status information
If the user enters an API key for a supported LLM provider, that API key may also be stored locally on the device for use in requests to that provider.
3. Information Sent to Servers Configured by the User
HandyComfy sends data only as needed to fulfill the user’s request.
Depending on the feature being used, the following may be sent to a user-configured server:
– prompts and instructions
– workflow JSON and input values
– selected reference images or other supported media
– LLM conversation content
– utility feature inputs
3.1 Local ComfyUI Servers
If the user connects HandyComfy to a local ComfyUI server, data is sent over the local network or to the server address provided by the user.
We do not control or operate the user’s ComfyUI server. The privacy and security of that server depend on the user’s own environment and configuration.
3.2 External LLM Providers
If the user configures an external LLM provider, requests may be sent to that provider according to the provider selected by the user.
Examples may include:
– prompts
– conversation messages
– attached images, where supported
The handling of that data is also subject to the privacy policy and terms of the selected provider.
4. Advertising
HandyComfy uses Google AdMob to display ads.
AdMob and its partners may collect or receive certain technical information, such as:
– device identifiers
– advertising identifiers
– IP address
– app interaction data
– diagnostic or performance data
This information may be used by Google and its partners for ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement, and related advertising services.

5. Permissions
HandyComfy may request the following permissions, depending on platform and feature usage:
Photo Library / Media Access
Used to:
– select reference images or media
– display and manage generated outputs
– save generated outputs to the device
Local Network Access
Used to:
– connect to user-provided local ComfyUI servers on the local network
Notifications
Used to:
– notify the user when a generation or task completes while the app is in the background
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell user content such as prompts, chat history, selected images, or generated outputs.
However, data may be shared in the following limited cases:
– with servers explicitly configured by the user for generation or LLM features
– with Google AdMob and related service providers for advertising-related functionality
– when required by law, regulation, or legal process
7. Data Retention
Data stored by HandyComfy is generally retained on the user’s device until:
– the user deletes content in the app
– the user clears app data
– the app is uninstalled
If the user sends data to an external server or service, retention of that data is governed by the operator of that server or service.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures within the app to support local storage and normal mobile app operation. However:
– no method of transmission or storage is completely secure
– the security of local network servers depends on the user’s own setup
– the security of third-party LLM providers depends on those providers
Users should use trusted networks, secure their servers, and manage API keys carefully.
9. Children’s Privacy
HandyComfy is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a first-party account system.
10. International Use
If the user chooses to connect to third-party or remote servers, data may be transmitted to and processed in countries other than the user’s own country, depending on the server or provider selected by the user.
11. Your Choices
Users may:
– decline to connect external or remote servers
– remove server configurations from the app
– decline permissions such as photo access or notifications
– delete chats, gallery items, or app data
– uninstall the app
